Having entered a brand new year, we are more than ready to host your life events and occasions here at The Landmark in 2023.
From christenings, live music and birthday parties, to funerals and weddings, our exclusive venue can be transformed into whatever space you want it to be.
Our atmospheric and iconic building is not only steeped in history, set in the Grade II listed former Burnley Grammar School, but it also boasts incredible features throughout including hi-tech lighting and sound systems, specially commissioned stained glass windows, Burnley’s only external glass lift, full air conditioning, free on-site parking and a number of spectacular rooms which are just waiting to host your special event.
It does not stop there however, with our 1873 Wing offering a number of different spaces to suit your occasion. Whether you are looking for a comfortable intimate space for a smaller family gathering, or a large loft-like space for a larger party, we have something for everyone.
Our extremely popular Assembly Hall and Lounge Bar provides the perfect setting for those who prefer a nod of heritage with a twist of modern, while our beautiful Great Hall and 1873 Bar is a fantastic location for those who have a soft spot for historic architecture with a more classic feel.
Hosting for up to 150 people, we have good availability throughout 2023 including weekends and Friday evenings, with options for single or multiple room hire providing fantastic opportunities for families and your special occasion.
When it comes to your event, we cover every basis with a whole host of preferred suppliers from bands to photographers. Whatever you need for your event, our dedicated events team are here to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If you want to push the boat out just a little bit further and make your event a little more bespoke, we also offer options for arrival drinks and pop up bars, as well as personalised drink packages.
In 2022, Dr Amanda Thornton and her husband Justin hosted their joint 50th Birthday Parties here at The Landmark.
Talking after the event, they said: “It was everything we wished for and more. People said it is the best party they have ever been to. It was well organised, well presented, The Landmark thought of everything.
“Yes we pushed the boat out and got two rooms, yes we got some excellent caterers in, but the building itself made it stupidly easy to throw a good party.”
